Overview
To enhance the remote-solve experience, with the interest of safety and efficiency, CareAR supports multiuser CareAR Assist Sessions with DJI Drones. This enables all participants to both see and interact with the drone’s video stream, as well as the drone operator. This article aims to outline the basic functionality of the DJI CareAR Drone application and enable users to host drone sessions.
Pre-Requisites
To use the CareAR Assist Drone application, you will need the following:
- A DJI Drone
- An Android mobile device
- CareAR Dji Fly Drone Application installed on your mobile device. You can find the application on our download page here.
How to Use
- With the CareAR DJI Fly Drone app (APK) installed on your Android mobile device, connect your mobile device to your DJI controller with a suitable USB Cable.
- Once connected, click on the power button on the controller, then again with a long press of the power button until the controller beeps.
- Open the drone wings and click on the power button once again and long press until the controller beeps.
- On your mobile device, open the CareAR Drone Application and Select ‘New Flight.’
- Select ‘Join Session’, the Host of the CareAR Assist Session will provide you with a Scannable QR Code, or Session Code you will use to join the CareAR Assist Session.
- Once you have joined the CareAR Assist Session with the CareAR Drone app, enable the video stream, and operate the Drone.
- Other participants within the CareAR Assist Session will be able to interact with the video stream with the ‘Laser Pointer’, ‘Pause’, and ‘Screen Capture’ tools available to them.
