What My Training is for
My Training is your personal list of training tasks that an admin has assigned to you. Each task teaches you about a piece of equipment (an asset) using the ResolveGrid AI training agent — you study the pinned materials, answer questions, and take a short certification quiz.
When you pass, the task is marked complete on your board. That is how your organization tracks that you are ready to work on that equipment.
You do not create or assign training here. You only complete what has been given to you.
Note: In the left menu the link is often labeled My Tasks, but the page title is My Training. Both open the same place.
Portal home. The green **My Training** card is one way in; it also shows a short status (for example, “No training assigned yet”).
Getting started
Signing in
- Open your ResolveGrid sign-in page (for this workspace: resolvegrid.carear.app/#/user/login).
- Enter your work email and click Next.
- Enter the access code that was just emailed to you (check your spam folder if you do not see it), then click Next.
- Enter your password and click Sign in.
Sign-in page — enter your email, then continue.
Tip: This workspace verifies your identity with a one-time access code emailed to you, and then asks for your password. If you do not get the code, use Resend on the verification screen.
Open My Training
You can get there in any of these ways:
- On the portal home screen, click the My Training card (graduation-cap icon).
- In the left menu, open Training, then click My Tasks.
- From a training reminder email, click the link — it signs you in (if needed) and brings you to My Training.
My Training board with the Training section open in the left menu.
Before you can train
- An admin must assign you at least one training task (or a package of tasks).
- AI / Training must be turned on for your workspace. If you do not see Training or My Training at all, ask your administrator.
- You need a normal signed-in ResolveGrid account. No special “trainer” role is required to take training.
Your training board
What it is: A board of every training assignment currently on your account — both individual tasks and tasks that belong to a package (an ordered set of tasks assigned together).
When to use it: Any time you want to see what is due, start or resume a task, or check that you finished something.
In the example below, the board has one assigned task — Brother’s print training task for the HL-L8360CDW printer — marked Due in 7 days and assigned Direct (to you personally). The summary shows 0% and “Let’s get started.”
Progress summary
At the top of the page a summary shows how far you are overall:
- A percent complete ring.
- A short momentum line (for example, “Let’s get started.” or “3 of 5 complete — keep the streak going!”).
- Tallies for Overdue, Due soon, In progress, and Done (only statuses that apply are shown).
My Training board with the progress summary and task cards.
Important: If the left edge of the summary turns red, you have at least one overdue task. Those are the ones to clear first.
What each card shows
Each card is one training assignment. A card typically shows:
- Status — overdue, due soon, in progress, assigned, or completed (see the table below).
- Asset name — the equipment this training is about (for example, a printer model).
- Task name and a short description (when the admin wrote one).
- Optional thumbnail of the asset.
- Where it came from — Direct (assigned to you personally) or via a group / package name.
- When it was assigned, and a Start, Resume, or Done button.
Statuses
| Status | What it means | What you do |
| Assigned | On your list, not started, and not urgently due. | Click Start when you are ready. |
| Due soon | Not started, and the due date is coming up soon (often within about a week — your org can change this). | Start it before it becomes overdue. |
| In progress | You have started an attempt but have not passed yet. | Click Resume to continue. |
| Overdue | Past the due date and not passed yet (whether or not you started). | Treat as highest priority — Start or Resume. |
| Completed / Passed | You passed the certification for this assignment. | No action — the button reads Done and is disabled. |
Packages vs individual tasks
If an admin assigns you a package, those tasks appear in their own section with the package name and a progress line such as 2 of 4 done. Inside a package, cards keep the order the admin set, and each card may show Step 1 of 4, Step 2 of 4, and so on.
Tasks that are not part of a package appear below as individual cards. Those are sorted so the most urgent work (overdue first) sits nearest the top.
Note: The same task can appear twice if it was assigned to you both directly and as part of a package. Each copy is separate — you need to pass each one for it to count as done on that card.
Empty board
If nothing is assigned, you see No training assigned and a short note that tasks will appear when an admin assigns them. The portal home card may also say No training assigned yet.
Taking a training
What it is: Clicking Start (or Resume) opens the AI training agent in a panel on the right, in Training mode. This is different from normal troubleshooting — a green banner at the top of the chat shows the task name and the current phase (for example, Getting started), and the equipment being trained on (for example, HL-L8360CDW).
Training mode just after you click Start — the green banner shows the task name and the “Getting started” phase.
How a typical session goes
- On My Training, find the card and click Start (or Resume).
- The AI agent opens on the right in Training mode. The phase chip starts at Getting started, then moves to Study.
- Open every pinned study item the trainer shows (knowledge base articles, videos, workflows, and so on). You must open every pinned study and review the content before certification is allowed.
- At any time you may ask questions or for clarification as needed.
- When you are ready, tell the trainer (for example: “I’ve reviewed the materials”). The phase moves through Questions and then Certification.
- Answer each multiple-choice Certification question. On a desktop, select a choice and click Submit answer. On a phone, tapping a choice may submit it right away.
- At the end you see either Training passed or Not passed yet, with your score (for example, “You scored 3 of 5”).
Study phase — welcome message and pinned reference tiles (for example, Load Paper) you must open before certification.
Certification question in the AI panel. Pick one answer, then click Submit answer.
Phases you will see
| Phase chip | What is happening |
| Getting started | Intro to the task and the materials you will review. |
| Study | Work through the pinned content for the asset. |
| Questions | Q&A with the trainer before the quiz. |
| Certification | Graded multiple-choice questions. |
| Passed | You met the pass score for this attempt. |
| Retry | You did not pass yet — review and try again. |
If you pass
- You see a green Training passed badge with your score (for example, “You scored 4 of 5.”). The banner phase also reads Passed.
- The trainer confirms the result in the chat (for example, “That completes the training — you scored 4 of 5.”).
- Click Done to leave training mode.
- Return to My Training — that card should show as completed. Refresh the page if it still looks old.
A passed attempt: the green “Training passed” badge with your score, the trainer’s confirmation, and the Done button.
If you do not pass
- You see Not passed yet with your score (for example, “You scored 3 of 5. Review the material and try again.”).
- Click Try again. The trainer helps you review; you can retake the certification.
- Content you already opened usually stays marked as viewed, so you do not have to re-open every item from scratch.
A failed attempt: “Not passed yet,” the score, and the Try again button. The phase chip shows Retry.
Tip: In this workspace the quiz commonly asks about five questions and expects roughly 80% correct to pass (for example, 4 of 5). Your organization can change those numbers.
Leaving mid-session
- Click the X (Exit training) on the green training banner.
- Confirm in the dialog, or click Cancel to stay.
Exit training confirmation. It reads: “This ends the current training session and returns to normal troubleshooting. Your progress for this attempt will not be saved.”
Caution: Exiting clears the current chat session. Your board may still show In progress / Resume if an attempt was already recorded, but Resume typically starts a fresh training chat rather than restoring the exact messages you left.
Emails and reminders
Depending on how your organization configured Training settings, you may receive email when:
- A task is assigned to you.
- A task is due soon.
- A task is overdue (sometimes repeated on a schedule).
- Optionally, when you pass (often off by default).
- Optionally, a refresher nudge for courses marked as good to re-run later.
Emails may arrive one-per-task or as a single daily digest. Reminder volume can be limited (for example, a maximum number of emails per day), and some orgs pause sends during quiet hours.
Use the button or link in the email to open My Training. Sign in if the portal asks you to.
Walkthrough examples
Example A — First assigned task
- You get an email that training was assigned, or you notice a new card on My Training.
- Open My Training. The summary may say “Let’s get started.”
- Open the card, read the task name and due date, click Start.
- Open every pinned guide or video the trainer presents.
- Answer the certification questions.
- When you pass, click Done. The card shows completed on the board.
Example B — Package with several steps
- Your board shows a package section (for example, “AP Install”) with 0 of 3 done.
- Complete Step 1 of 3, then Step 2, then Step 3 in the order shown.
- Package progress updates as each step is passed.
Example C — Overdue task
- The summary has a red accent and an Overdue tally.
- Find the overdue card (often near the top of individual tasks).
- Click Start or Resume and finish certification as soon as you can.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | What to try |
| No Training menu / no My Training card | Ask your admin whether AI and Training are enabled for your workspace, and whether your account is allowed to use Training. |
| “No training assigned” | Nothing is assigned to you yet. Ask your admin or lead to assign a task or package. |
| Start does nothing / agent does not open | Refresh the page and try again. If it still fails, note the time and contact support — the app may not show an on-screen error. |
| Cannot reach Certification | Open every pinned study item the trainer listed. Certification stays locked until those are opened. |
| Failed the quiz | Click Try again, review the materials, and retake the questions. |
| Card still says In progress after I left | That is expected if an attempt was recorded. Use Resume to start again. Refresh My Training after you pass. |
| Two cards for the same task name | You likely have both a direct assignment and a package assignment. Complete each card separately. |
| Due date looks wrong near midnight | Due labels use your local calendar day. If something looks off, check the exact due date with your admin. |
Known limits
- You cannot assign training to yourself or to others from this page.
- You cannot change due dates, packages, or success criteria — those are admin-controlled.
- There is no separate “download certificate” button on the board; completion is tracked in ResolveGrid when you pass.
- The board loads your full list at once (no paging). Very large assignment lists may feel long to scroll.
- Exiting mid-session does not keep your chat transcript for later.
- Passed refresher courses may still email you later to re-run; the board can still show the old pass until you take it again under your org’s process.
FAQ
Is My Training the same as the AI troubleshooting assistant?
No. Troubleshooting helps with live problems. Training mode is a guided teach-and-certify session for an assigned task. The green Training mode banner means you are in training, not normal assist.
Do I need an admin role?
No. Any signed-in user who is eligible for Training can open My Training and complete assigned work. Admins use other Training pages to create and assign tasks.
How many questions are on the quiz?
By default the certification asks about five questions and expects roughly 80% correct to pass. Your organization or a specific task may use different numbers.
Can I skip the study materials?
Not if items are pinned as required. The agent will not let you certify until those have been opened.
What does “Direct” mean on a card?
It means the task was assigned to you as a person, not only through a group or package.
Why does the menu say My Tasks?
That is the sidebar label. The page itself is titled My Training. Same destination.
