Overview
ResolveGrid provides an AI-powered troubleshooting platform that extends Jobber with grounded, step-by-step guidance and live expert support for field technicians — launched directly from the Jobber job they are working on.
This article is intended to enable ResolveGrid administrators and Jobber account admins to:
- Confirm the prerequisites for the integration.
- Enable the Jobber connector in ResolveGrid.
- Connect a Jobber account — from ResolveGrid or from the Jobber App Marketplace.
- Verify that jobs show the Start ResolveGrid Live Help link.
Prerequisites
Make sure the following are in place before you start the installation:
- Jobber connector enabled for your workspace — the Jobber connector is turned on per workspace by ResolveGrid. If you don’t see Jobber under Connectors in the ResolveGrid admin portal, contact ResolveGrid support to have it enabled.
- ResolveGrid administrator access — only a tenant administrator can enable the connector and connect a Jobber account.
- Jobber account access — a Jobber user who is allowed to connect apps to the account (typically the account owner or an admin).
- ResolveGrid accounts for technicians — technicians sign in to ResolveGrid when they first open the agent from a job, so each technician needs a user in the same ResolveGrid workspace.
| Note: Connect one ResolveGrid workspace to one Jobber account. The connector must be enabled in ResolveGrid before you connect from either side — otherwise the connection is rejected with “Enable the connector first, then connect your Jobber account.” |
Installation
Step 1 — Enable the Jobber Connector in ResolveGrid
- Sign in to the ResolveGrid admin portal as a tenant administrator.
- Open Connectors from the left navigation.
- Select the Jobber connector card.
- Click ENABLE. You’ll see the confirmation Connector enabled, and the button changes to DISABLE.
Before the connector is enabled, the Jobber connection panel under Settings shows Not connected, the CONNECT button is greyed out, and the message “Enable the connector first, then connect your Jobber account.” is displayed.
Figure 1. Connectors → Jobber before the connector is enabled. Click ENABLE first; CONNECT stays disabled until you do.
Once enabled, CONNECT becomes active.
Step 2 — Connect Your Jobber Account
You can connect from either ResolveGrid or the Jobber App Marketplace. Both paths produce the same result — pick whichever is more convenient.
Option A — Connect from ResolveGrid
- In Connectors → Jobber, click CONNECT in the Jobber connection panel.
- You are redirected to Jobber. Sign in to Jobber if prompted.
- Review the access the ResolveGrid AI Agent app is requesting and click Allow.
- Jobber returns you to the ResolveGrid Connectors page and the Jobber card reopens automatically.
- You’ll see Jobber connected successfully, and the status changes to Connected — <your Jobber account name> with a DISCONNECT button.
Figure 2. A connected Jobber account. The status shows the Jobber account name (here, “Test”), and the connector can be disabled or disconnected from this page.
Option B — Connect from the Jobber App Marketplace
- Sign in to Jobber and open the App Marketplace.
- Find ResolveGrid AI Agent and click Connect.
- Review the requested access and click Allow.
- Sign in to ResolveGrid as a tenant administrator if prompted.
- You land on Connectors → Jobber in ResolveGrid with the status Connected — <your Jobber account name>.
| Note: Start and finish the connection in the same browser tab. If Jobber returns you to a different tab or session, ResolveGrid shows “Authorization state mismatch. Please try again.” — just click CONNECT again. |
Step 3 — Verify the Installation
Right after connecting, ResolveGrid starts adding the ResolveGrid Agent fields to all existing jobs in the background, each with a Start ResolveGrid Live Help link. On accounts with many jobs this can take a few minutes; new and updated jobs receive the link automatically from then on.
| Check | Where | Expected result |
| Connection status | ResolveGrid → Connectors → Jobber | Connected — <Jobber account name> with a DISCONNECT button |
| App status | Jobber → App Marketplace → ResolveGrid AI Agent | Manage App and Disconnect are shown |
| Link on an existing job | Jobber → open any job | A ResolveGrid AI Agent section shows the ResolveGrid Agent field with Start ResolveGrid Live Help |
| Link on a new job | Jobber → create a job | The link appears on the new job |
| Launch | Click Start ResolveGrid Live Help | ResolveGrid opens (sign in if prompted) with the job attached |
