New Features
Instruct
This update includes many feature enhancements to CareAR Instruct and the associated Experience Builder and AI platform.
Advance Content Error Handling
Advanced content experiences require the use of the CareAR app to be viewed. With this feature, when a user clicks on a link for an advanced content experience from an unsupported device, such as a desktop computer, they will be presented with a QR code for the experience to scan with their mobile device.
Experience Builder
AR Element
Using the AR element allows you to provide users to view a 3D object in augmented reality anchored on a surface in real space. To use this feature, simply add the AR element to a page. From the AR element properties, upload a .glb file for Android users and a .usdz file for iOS users. You can also upload a customized preview image if desired. When a user views the page with the preview image they can simply tap on the image to launch the AR view. For the best user experience, Content Creators should prepare for both Android users and iOS users and upload both files representing the 3D object, respectively.
Form Element
A Form element allows you to embed forms into a page that can collect information from the user. You can have form submissions emailed to a configured email address or sent via webhook to a configured HTTPS endpoint. You can also optionally save to session history.
In the realm of customer support, forms play a vital role in enhancing efficiency and customer satisfaction. They act as standardized gateways for collecting information about inquiries, complaints, and requests. This ensures clarity and consistency, allowing agents to quickly grasp the issue and provide appropriate solutions. Additionally, forms can automate tasks like ticket creation and routing, streamlining workflows and reducing resolution times. Moreover, customer feedback forms can be embedded within the application, providing valuable insights for service improvement.
Field service support also benefits significantly from forms. Mobile-friendly forms empower technicians to capture data on-site, such as job details, equipment condition, and completed tasks. This data can then automatically be synced with central databases, improving visibility and reporting accuracy. Furthermore, forms can be used to collect customer information and feedback electronically, eliminating paperwork and streamlining service closure. Overall, forms contribute to a more efficient, transparent, and data-driven approach to both customer and field service support.
Moving Page Wires
We now have a new method for changing page navigation between navigation buttons and the destination page. With this method you no longer need to delete and rerun a new wire for configuring the navigation. You can now move the wires that connect navigation buttons to pages. Simply click on the arrowhead of the wire you wish to change. Then click and drag the wire to the new page.
Wire Deletion
You can now delete navigation connecting wires easily by hovering your mouse cursor over the wire. When the cursor is over the wire, a delete icon will appear. Clicking the delete icon will delete the wire.
Admin Portal Updates
The admin portal includes a few additional changes in release 24.01.
CSV File Import during bulk edit
For the bulk editing capability, if there are Japanese characters used for the header field labels, then there were issues importing the file.
With this update, we can import CSV files while the headers are in Japanese. This feature relaxes any checks on the fields that exist on the first line - that is, all characters occurring at the top of the file before the carriage return/new line character. This way we can allow basically any encoded character to be used.
Licensed Experiences parameter
With this feature, we specify a new optional field, "Licensed Experiences" that presents the following values:
- unlimited
- 0 or any positive integer
When a new tenant is created, an optional parameter will be supported (Licensed Experiences) with the ability to specify exactly how many Experiences the tenant is licensed to publish.
Usage Information Update
When plan type = "user" , prior to release 24.01 we displayed Assist related usage counters unnecessarily. In fact, we need to not show the two Assist related usage counters "Minutes Used" and "Sessions Used" under the "Usage Information" . With this adjustment, when plan type = “user” , we will not display Assist related usage information.
