The CareAR platform enables service experience management through CareAR Assist and Instruct. CareAR Assist is a remote support solution using live video and AR technology to enable experts to remotely guide others to quickly resolve problems. CareAR Instruct is a self-guided solution that enables users to self-solve by following step-by-step instructions that include 2D and 3D content.

Release 22.03.002 of CareAR Instruct delivers the following:

New Features

EXPERIENCE IMPORT / EXPORT

Any experience can be exported from the experience builder by accessing the menu in the upper left corner of the interface. The experience can be exported with and without media.

· With media = Export is a .zip file that contains all videos, images, 3D models, etc. for the experience.

· Without Media = Export is a .json file which only contains the experience text and associated meta data.

The experience import function takes in an exported experience (.zip or .json) and recreates the experience on the open canvas. Any previous pages on the canvas will be replaced with the imported experience.

DEFAULT 3D MODEL POSITION

In the experience builder, you can now define the default opening position and orientation for 3D models on an i3D page. By clicking on Set Default View you will be presented with a popup window to adjust the zoom and position of the 3D model.

Once you have the model at the correct position and desired zoom level, simply click on the “Set as Default View” button to save it. Once you publish these updates anyone opening the i3D page will see the initial position and zoom level that was set.

KEYBOARD COMMANDS

We have implemented keyboard commands in the experience builder. Keyboard shortcut commands have been implemented to speed up creation of experiences. The following keyboard commands are now available.

BROWSER SPELLCHECK

Within the experience builder your spelling is now checked on text entry fields. Now the web browser’s built-in spell check can now check the spelling of any words entered. This works in text elements and rich card text entry fields.

IMAGE CROPPING

In the experience builder you can now crop uploaded images. When selecting the image a Crop button will appear above the image. Once selected you can use the handles on the border of the image to set the crop position. Once positioned correctly, simply click the green check mark to perform the crop. The next time you publish the image will be displayed with its new cropped view.
