With the release of the SalesForce connector version 24.2 (Release Notes) has extended the capabilities to utilize CareAR for Field Service to now work from Work Orders in addition to the previously supported Cases as well as utilization of SalesForce's Field Service Mobile App.
With this expanded support it has been observed the Field Service module inside of SalesForce must be enabled in order to properly install the 24.2 connector. This is true even if your SalesForce deployment is not utilizing the Field Service workflow that the 24.2 connector expands upon.

In this screen you should see 'Field Service' with a toggle box. This toggle box must be on (Enabled) in order to install the CareAR connector.
